Sports Facilities
Here at HMP Wolds our aim is to make a major contribution to the regimes of the prison by providing professional, purposeful and constructive physical education and opportunities for personal development, which will prepare offenders for reintegration into the community and contribute towards developing the employability of offenders upon release.
The Sports Centre remains open for 365 days of the year. It has a capacity of 60 offenders, 30 in the
Fitness Room and 30 in the Sports Hall, and a staff team supervises and instructs the offenders throughout their sessions. A variety of programmes are available to, through sport, address offending behaviour, drug awareness and develop man management skills and also to promote and educate the importance of
healthy lifestyles.
